Opened in 2017, the Performance Institute was founded at UFC world headquarters in Las Vegas. Since its inception, the UFC Performance Institute has become an essential resource to fighters around the world on the UFC roster, supporting over 80% of athletes through in-person coaching, remote interactions, and providing UFC event services.
In 2019, UFC opened its second Performance Institute in Shanghai, China. Created to support a growing population of talented MMA fighters within China, not only does this Performance Institute provide comprehensive performance services throughout Asia, it also supports a fulltime UFC Academy featuring top prospects with the potential to become future UFC stars.
In 2024, the UFC opened its third Performance Institute in Mexico City. Drawing on the systems and operations of Las Vegas and Shanghai, the UFC Performance Institute – Mexico also supports a full-time academy for talent development throughout Latin America and a comprehensive portfolio of world-class services for UFC fighters in the region.
